VENTIS Immobilien AG has acquired the Hotel Bernstein Prerow and plans to revitalize it as a new-generation eco-resort under the VELA Hotels Group. GOING PLACES was commissioned to develop a forward-looking concept that combines sustainability, quality tourism and community orientation. The hotel is to become a center for co-working, gastronomy, SPA and local offers that serves both guests and the regional population. The planned construction method and energy supply are based on timber-concrete hybrid construction, geothermal energy and photovoltaics. In addition, it is being examined whether deep geothermal energy can heat not only the hotel but also large parts of Prerow in an environmentally friendly way and establish Prerow as a brine spa. The VELA Hotel Prerow is therefore set to become a holistic, sustainable and community-oriented resort.
