On 22 May 2019, the new REWE store opened with around 2,000 square meters of retail space - built by VENTIS Commercial AG. Since then, customers have been able to enjoy a modern shopping experience in a light-flooded full-range store whose architecture features large window fronts and numerous skylights - not only for a pleasant feeling of space, but also in terms of energy efficiency.

The store was constructed as a so-called REWE Green Building and was awarded the Gold Certificate of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). A key measure was the use of a heat pump that uses environmental heat for heating. In addition, recyclable and environmentally friendly building materials were used - visible, for example, in the striking wooden truss constructions in the entrance area, which are impressive both in terms of design and ecology.

With the simultaneous opening of a ROSSMANN drugstore and the completion of another specialist store in 2021, a local shopping location with a high quality of stay has been created. All three stores share a parking facility with 160 parking spaces. The project development by VENTIS Commercial AG not only made an important contribution to supplying the neighborhood, but also set standards in terms of sustainable and future-proof location development.
