The Berlin-based company VENTIS is expanding its position as a leading tourism investor in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. With the founding of Vela-Hotels AG, VENTIS has established its own hotel operating company, which already operates three hotels and is growing continuously. The latest luxury project, the Kurhaus in Sellin on the island of Rügen, will open in fall 2025 and include 108 luxurious apartments as well as extensive wellness and gastronomy facilities. Further projects in Boltenhagen, Göhren and on Stralsund's harbor island are also being planned. Alexander Doerr, Managing Director of Vela-Hotels, emphasizes the strategic focus on hotel operations and future expansion into other vacation regions such as the Schleswig-Holstein Baltic Sea coast and the Harz Mountains.
